A multi-vehicle collision that closed a road north of Hanover earlier on Thursday has been confirmed as a fatal crash.
South Bruce OPP confirmed just after 5 p.m. on August 28 that they responded to a collision between two passenger vehicles on Bruce Road 10 near Dankert Lake Road at 11:30 a.m.
Police responded to the scene alongside the Elmwood Fire Department and Grey Bruce EMS. Police have now confirmed that a 69-year-old woman, a passenger in one of the two vehicles involved, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Both drivers of the vehicles were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Bruce Road 10 was closed between Concession Road 4 and Concession Road 6 for several hours for the investigation. It has since been reopened.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
