Conservation Authority shifts times for annual turtle release

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) has changed the times for its annual turtle release event.

With weather forecasts predicting likely rain on the afternoon of Thursday, August 28, organizers of the Tenth Annual Turtle Hatchling Release have changed the plans from an afternoon event to a morning event.

The hatchling release will now take place on the same date, from 9 a.m. until noon. The previously planned afternoon release times will not be going ahead.

Turtles will still be released every 20 minutes during the morning, so attendees should have plenty of opportunities to view turtles throughout the morning.

Attendees can register at Eventbrite.com for the morning times but it is not required.
