The Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula is moving forward with separate Water and Wastewater Master Plan studies for Tobermory and Lion’s Head, aimed at guiding the expansion of municipal drinking water and wastewater services. The studies will consider current infrastructure, projected growth, and climate-related risks to recommend future projects and implementation timelines.
As part of the process, the Municipality is hosting in-person Public Information Centres (PICs) for each community to provide residents with an overview of the studies. Attendees will learn about the Master Plan process, existing infrastructure, identified challenges and opportunities, evaluation criteria, alternative solutions, and the preliminary preferred options for both water and wastewater services.
The Public Information Centres will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the following times and locations:
Tobermory Community Centre: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Lion’s Head Rotary Hall: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
For residents unable to attend in person, presentation materials will be available online at letstalknbp.ca during the question and comment period following the PICs. The period for submitting questions and comments will remain open until Friday, September 26, 2025, at 4:30 p.m.
The Municipality encourages residents to participate in the process to help shape the future of water and wastewater services in Tobermory and Lion’s Head.
