Air ambulance responds to West Perth collision

A single motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of West Perth sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.

On August 26, the Perth County OPP, along with Perth County Paramedic Services and West Perth Fire Department, responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Perth Line 39.

Police said their investigation found that a motor vehicle left the roadway and collided with a hydro pole, resulting in a localized power outage. The lone occupant of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a local trauma centre, where his injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening.

Perth Line 39 was temporarily closed, but has since been reopened. Hydro One has been notified and is working to restore power to the area.
