Fire in Burgoyne determined to be a case of arson

South Bruce OPP are currently investigating a recent case of arson in Burgoyne.

According to police, just after 5 a.m. on August 14, South Bruce OPP and Arran-Elderslie Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residence in Burgoyne for a fire.

Police determined that the blaze had been set on purpose by a person who was still at the scene. Officers arrested a suspect without incident.

The South Bruce OPP Crime Unit is investigating the matter as an arson.

Police are requesting anyone with information regarding this case to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
