Donations are being collected to help the people who were displaced by the apartment fire in Goderich.
The Huron Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Goderich are partnering to support everyone affected. This includes collecting gift cards, which they can use to buy food, clothing, and other necessities.
The Chamber is hoping local businesses will take part.
"Just as residents have always supported our local businesses in turbulent times (tornado, COVID, and now downtown construction), this is a moment for our businesses to step up for residents facing a difficult time," said Colin Carmichael, Executive Director of the Chamber, in an email sent to all Chamber business members.
All gift cards can be dropped off at the Goderich Town Hall weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. These donations will start being collected on Tuesday since Monday is a Civic Holiday.
