Students in Goderich participate in mental health event

Students at St. Marys School in Goderich recently participated in a "fun run" event for mental health.

On Thursday, June 5, 50 students took part in the two kilometre run to wrap up an eight week program offered through the Maitland Valley Family Health Team (MVFHT).

The program was designed by Team Unbreakable, a non-profit organization to promote the connection between physical and mental health.

The program was offered to students in Grades 4-6, as part of a new mental health pilot program for kids.

The school and MVFHT hope to make the program an annual occurrence, with the aim to spread out to even more local schools.
