It is another slow morning commute for drivers in parts of midwestern Ontario.
Bursts of heavy flurries are moving across Huron County and southern Perth County Wednesday morning. They are expected to drop as much as 5 centimetres of snow.
While the snowfall total isn't very high, it's the rapid accumulation that could cause issues on the roads with reduced visibility and quickly deteriorating conditions, according to Environment Canada.
"Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance," Environment Canada said. "If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop."
A winter weather travel advisory had been in effect for Huron and southern Perth. It was ended just before 9:30 a.m.
The flurries are expected to taper off by noon, Environment Canada said.
