An Arran-Elderslie man is facing nearly half a dozen charges in relation to an assault in Chesley.
South Bruce OPP were called about an assault along 1st Avenue South in the rural community last Wednesday.
No other details were released about what happened and whether anyone was hurt.
A suspect in the incident was arrested a couple days later with the help of the OPP West Region emergency response team.
A 30-year-old Arran-Elderslie man is charged with assault, assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, trespassing at night, and failure to comply with probation order. He has been remanded into custody, police said.
