Owen Sound Attack goalie Carter George was one of 14 OHL players named to Team Canada for the World Junior Hockey Championship.
It’s the most players representing the league in over 40 years, as Canada chases gold in the nation’s capital later this month.
George, a second round pick of the Los Angeles Kings this spring, is in his third season with the Attack, holding a career .908 save percentage. His previous international experience includes helping Canada's U18 team win gold at the World Championship in 2024.
Easton Cowan and Oliver Bonk of the London Knights and Jett Luchanko of the Guelph Storm were some of the other OHL names to make the national team, which will attempt to return to the podium after missing out on a medal last year.
Canada's opening game comes Boxing Day against Finland at 7:30 p.m.
