Lucknow Kinsmen club gives to Goderich affordable housing

The Lucknow and District Kinsmen made a major donation to support affordable housing in Huron County.

The club is giving $50,000 to the Gibbons Street Affordable Housing Development. Though the 40-unit apartment building is under construction in Goderich, the Kinsmen acknowledged that addressing housing everywhere in the region is a necessity.

"The goal of KinCanada is to serve the community’s greatest needs. The Lucknow and District Kinsmen have identified that the Gibbons Street Affordable Housing Development is one of those needs," said member Joe Carter.

The development is slated for completion in late 2025.

"The Lucknow and District Kinsmen are highly active volunteers in our community, regularly supporting local initiatives through their popular and entertaining fundraising events," said Huron County Warden Glen McNeil. "We are tremendously grateful for their generous donation. It will have a significant impact in our community."
