Pets stolen in Kincardine break-in found safe

A cat and dog stolen during a break-in at a home in the Municipality of Kincardine have been reunited with their owner.

South Bruce OPP were called about the break and enter on Bruce Road 20 shortly after 10 a.m. on Sunday. Officers were told the resident's two pets were snatched during the incident.

Through their investigation, police found the animals safe and arrested a suspect.

A 49-year-old Kincardine man is charged with breaking and entering, mischief under $5,000, and theft under $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing in Walkerton court.

The pets have been returned to their owner.
