Hydro pole damaged in crash involving tractor

No one was hurt when a tractor crashed into a hydro pole northwest of St. Marys.

The large farm machinery went off the road and into the pole on Line 10 between Road 163 and Road 137 in Perth South around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The crash kept the section of Line 10 closed for several hours as hydro crews worked to repair the damaged pole. The road has since reopened.

The area of Line 10 where the crash took place has gravel shoulders and is lined by trees.

Stratford police did not comment on whether any charges were laid.
