New leader at the Nuclear Innovation Institute

The Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII) in Saugeen Shores has a new President and CEO.

The Board of Directors recently appointed Jessica Linthorne as President and CEO, crediting her excellent leadership during her interim role at the institute.

Linthorne has worked at NII since 2021, most recently as Interim CEO and prior to that, as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, she held the role of Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Town of Saugeen Shores, where she supported the landing and expansion of many nuclear suppliers and their workforces.

The institute acts as a project manager for industry technology projects and environmental research, and an industry voice in policy reports, government relations and unique communications. It also works to be a connector in member engagement, workforce development and STEM education.

“With this refined vision and mission and a team of professionals spanning a wide range of disciplines, NII is driving the nuclear industry forward in unique and innovative ways, making connections both across the sector and beyond,” said Jessica Linthorne, NII President & CEO.

Linthorne has been recognized nationally and internationally through multiple awards, including as a top economic development professional in Ontario in 2021.
