The Township of Georgian Bluffs has lifted the open air burn ban that has been in place since June 19.
The ban was initially enacted during the extreme heatwave in the province last week that saw stifling temperatures in the low to mid 30s that felt as high as 40 with humidex values.
The dry conditions prompted the township to put the burn ban in place.
As of 9:15 a.m. on June 24, open air burns are once again allowed in Georgian Bluffs.
For more information or to get a permit for a burn, contact Fire Chief Jeff Gautreau at 519-376-9933, or chief@itfd.ca.
