More road construction coming

Grey County road construction season is getting underway with a variety of projects from construction and resurfacing, to bridge rehabilitation and surface repairs.

Between May and the end of September, $4.21 million is being spent on Grey Road 40 for reconstruction between Grey Road 7 and Grey Road 13. That could include potential short term full closures. An information session is scheduled for Thursday April 18, 2024 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Marsh Street Centre in Clarksburg.

Work is scheduled on a Grey Road 3 and 4 roundabout, including paving a short portion Grey Road 4 at a cost of $3.3 million. Grey Road 3 will be closed at various times from May to the end of August..

A $4.7 million project is scheduled from mid-June to mid-September on Grey Roads 9 and 14. Grey Road 14 will be under construction from Southgate Road 24 to Grey Road 4, while Grey Road 9 will be reconstructed between Southgate Sideroad 7 to Southgate Sideroad 13. An information session is scheduled for Thursday May 9, 2024 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Frank MacIntyre Building in Dundalk.

As well, Grey Road 9 will be completely closed to through traffic from Southgate Sideroad 49 to Grey Road 23 for work including a bridge replacement at a cost of $1.53 million.

Grey Road 13 will see $1.98 million worth of work between Sideroad 7B and Sideroad 13B. An information session is scheduled for Thursday May 23, 2024 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Euphrasia Memorial Community Centre

Grey Road 16 will see about a million dollars in improvements from Concession 5 Derby/Concession 6 Chatsworth to Highway 6 &10.

Motorists are asked to plan their routes accordingly.
