Employee killed at Elora business after struck by vehicle

A 67 year-old Fergus man has died after he was hit by a vehicle at an Elora business.

On Saturday afternoon at around 3:15 p.m. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Centre Wellington Fire Rescue and Guelph- Wellington Paramedic Service were called to a business on Wellington Road 18 for a report of an injury at the business.

Police were told a customer had caused serious injuries when they struck the employee with their vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

The office of the Chief Coroner and the Ministry of Labour have been notified.

OPP did not say if potential charges will be laid.
