Owen Sound police have confirmed a missing teen has been found deceased.
Police were searching for a missing 16-year-old girl named Meredith.
The OPP Underwater Search and Rescue Unit was called in to assist.
At around 1:10 p.m. on Saturday, OPP located a deceased teenage female at the bottom of the Sydenham River approximately 100 feet west of the Jubilee Bridge in Owen Sound.
Her death is being investigated by the Owen Sound police and the Office of Chief Coroner.
Police are thanking everyone for their efforts in locating her.
