North Perth's Mayor has released a statement regarding an issue with local vandalism.
Mayor Todd Kasenberg states in the release that the municipality has been made aware of a number of recent instances, including at a local school, involving vandalism and hate crime.
Mayor Kasenberg says "We will not tolerate any form of hate, discrimination, racism, or anti-Semitism. These despicable acts do not reflect our community or the people who live here."
The release adds that the North Perth Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee is working to advance initiatives confronting hate to create a more inclusive and welcoming community.
The mayor also encouraged anyone who sees any local vandalism or instances of hate crimes to call the police and report it.
