One person charged following drug trafficking investigation

Perth County OPP have charged a Cambridge resident following a drug trafficking investigation.

On March 5, officers executed a search warrant following a drug trafficking investigation in Kitchener. 

The warrant was executed by members of the OPP, Huron-Perth and Brant-Oxford Community Street Crime Units, West Region Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, and the Tactics and Rescue Unit.

The total estimated value of seized drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and psilocybin is approximately $41,000. The total estimated value of seized property is $1,800.

As a result, a 67-year-old from Cambridge is facing numerous drug related charges. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kitchener on April 19 to answer to the charges.
