Fergus woman wins $100,000

A Fergus woman recently won $100,000 playing an instant lottery game with the OLG.

Sherry Humber said she stopped for gas and decided at the last minute to pick up an Instant Gold Pursuit ticket.

"When I discovered the win, I thought, 'okay, this is fake,'" she said. "I looked at it maybe three more times and each time my eyes got wider. I started crying tears of joy! All I could think about in that moment was how I would be able to help my son through medical school."

She also plans on taking a cruise and investing her winnings.

The ticket was purchased at Esso on St. David Street in Fergus.
