Fire destroys building outside Mount Forest

A facility that manufactures wood pallets is a total loss after a fire outside Mount Forest.

Wellington North Fire Services were called to the scene around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

The building is located in the area of Wellington Road 6 and Sideroad 4.

The conditions made work difficult for the 60 firefighters that attended from Wellington North, Minto and Mapleton.

No injuries to civilians or crews were reported.

The building is a total loss and WNF estimates there was $2 million in damages.

The origin of the fire was narrowed down to the area of the wood furnace and is not considered not suspicious.
