After an intense start to the Family Day long weekend, all weather advisories, watches, and warnings have ended for Southwestern and Midwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada issued a Winter Weather Travel Advisory for Huron, Perth and North Wellington counties.
An intense snow squall was expected Sunday evening before heading south.
"Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance," said the advisory.
Winds are also expected to be strong reaching 60 kilometres per hour.
At the same time, a snow squall warning was issued for Southern Bruce County.
Environment Canada said the area would have 70 km/h winds with the snow squalls this evening.
"Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometers are common," the warning said.
It added that visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Environment Canada also said that road closures would be possible.
The weather agency encouraged people to postpone non-essential travel until conditions improved.
