Physical fight in vehicle leads to impaired driving charge

Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a 25-year-old Chesley woman after an altercation inside a vehicle over the weekend.

Officers were called to Southgate Sideroad 41 in the Municipality of Southgate just after 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Police said that after a physical fight, the passenger of the vehicle was kicked out. No injuries were reported.

During an interview with the driver, police said that they saw signs that she was impaired. A breath test was administered and the driver failed.

The woman faces charges of driving while impaired by alcohol and driving without insurance. She is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on March 7.
