Perth County OPP have laid charges following an assault that stemmed from a family dispute.
Police responded on February 4 just before 12:30 p.m. to an address in the Municipality of Perth East for reports of a disturbance.
Officers investigated and determined that an assault occurred during a family argument. As a result, a 38-year-old Perth East resident was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and two counts of assault with a weapon.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
