Standout McGillivray earns spot on All-World Team at U-18 Men's Softball World Cup

Durham's Alex McGillivray has been recognized for his outstanding performance at the WBSC U-18 Men's Softball World Cup with a spot on the tournament's All-World Team.

McGillivray had a .435 batting average, 7 RBI, 2 home runs, and scored 9 runs throughout the tournament.

The All-World Team also features players from world champions Japan, runners-up Mexico, the USA, Australia, and Venezuela.

Six other players from Midwestern Ontario were on this year's Canada squad (Hepworth's Joseph Weiler, Newton's Anthony Brubacher, Wingham's Riley Good, Arthur's Nolan Bultena, Stratford's Danny Scott and New Hamburg's Cohen Christner).
