Huron-Kinloss Fire Chief resigns

The Township of Huron-Kinloss announced Fire Chief Chris Cleave is resigning.

Cleave’s resignation will take effect Sept. 15.

In a release, the Township says Cleave has served the community with dedication and commitment for eight years and has been a pivotal part in updating the standards for volunteer fire fighters and supporting fire and emergency services.

“Chris has been an invaluable member of our management team, and his contributions to the safety and well-being of our residents are immeasurable," said Mayor Don Murray. "We are grateful for his years of service and wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

The Township says they’ll begin the recruitment process for a new Fire Chief and assure residents that Fire and Emergency Services will continue to be fully operational during the transition.
