Pickle ball program underway in Georgian Bluffs

Pickle ball bounced into three arenas in Georgian Bluffs this week.

A new drop-in pickle ball program will now take place between 5:00-7:00 p.m. Mondays at Kemble Arena, Tuesdays in Shallow Lake and Wednesdays at Kilsyth Arena.

The entry fee for participation is $3 and will feature two dedicated pickle ball courts. There will be beginner equipment available, including paddles and balls, for those who need them.

Everyone from beginners to experienced players can play the fastest growing sport in the country.

"To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that participants familiarize themselves with the game play rules and etiquette. We will be posting game play rules, adapted from Pickle Ball Canada, at the arenas. Beginners can also find helpful information at Pickle Ball Canada's Basic Rules website," stated a release from the municipality.
