Huron Perth health inspections now compiled on 'Check What We Inspect'

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has launched a webpage to provide public access to health inspection reports for restaurants, food trucks, catering, grocery stores and rental halls across the region.

The Check What We Inspect page will allow people to view a small portion of each inspection report, including the date of inspection and any infractions observed.

“Disclosing inspection results online allows the public to access inspection reports more readily,” said Lori Holmes, Public Health Manager.  “When supporting local businesses, look for Check What We Inspect signage at the entrance to know that the premises is inspected.”

However, reports for your local eateries may not be available just yet.

"Staff are gradually adding the reports, as premises are inspected, and following a review of each report prior to posting. There are just under 1,000 food premises in Huron Perth so it will take some time; however if a premise is listed, it is inspected by Public Health," said a statement from HPPH.

All other premises inspected by HPPH, including recreational water facilities (pools and spas), small drinking water systems, personal service settings (tattoo shops, hair salons) and childcare facilities, as well as infection prevention and control investigations and lapses, will be added to the webpage in the future.

You can find the Check What We Inspect page here.
