Perth County resident charged with cruelty to animals

A domestic investigation by Perth County OPP officers has led to mischief and cruelty charges against a 27-year-old Perth County resident.

The investigation started the evening of March 4, when a victim reported a historical mischief from January 2023. The victim accused the suspect of damaging items inside their home.

The suspect faces charges of cruelty to animals causing unnecessary pain, suffering or injury, and causing damage or injury to an animal or bird by failing to provide suitable food, water, care, or shelter.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford.
