Local business victim of fraudulent use of credit cards

A business in Wellington North was recently the victim of fraud via the use of fraudulent credit cards.

Wellington County OPP are investigating the alleged fraud that took place on December 21 and 22 of 2022 at a business on George Street in Arthur. Police were told that two unknown suspects allegedly used fraudulent credit cards to purchase over $800 worth of merchandise from the store.

The first suspect was described as a white male, heavy set, with short-dark hair and a beard. The second suspect was described as a white female, heavy set, with long dark hair.

Police are asking anyone who may have any information relating to this crime to contact Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
