Sign-ups open for Huron-Kinloss Golf Car pilot project

Huron-Kinloss residents can sign up to be part of a pilot project allowing golf carts to legally operate on local roads.

The ten-year project will determine if the so-called "golf cars" can safely integrate with other vehicle types, and determine whether existing rules of the road are adequate for those vehicles.

The Golf Car season operates annually from April 1st to November 30th, and people must register to be able to drive their vehicles on certain roads.

Participants need to ensure their golf vehicles have certain features, and they must obey the regulations and requirements.

There's also an app, Huron-Kinloss Connects, for people to register any complaints.
