Kincardine lowers flags to half staff

The Municipality of Kincardine lowered flags to half staff Tuesday in memory of 14 women senselessly murdered 33 years ago.  December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against women.

On December 6, 1989, 14 young women were killed at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal because of their gender.

Kincardine urged residents to answer the call to action, by educating themselves and others on gender-based violence, and speaking up against harmful behaviours.
