Flu outbreak over at Lee Manor in Owen Sound

Health officials report an Influenza outbreak at Lee Manor long-term care home in Owen Sound is now over.

Grey County issued a media release thanking public heath for helping to manage the outbreak, and the staff at the home for their dedication and commitment.

Staff ensured symptoms were quickly identified to prevent further spread with infection prevention and control measures.

Daily screening and rapid antigen testing continues for all staff, students, support workers, volunteers, Designated Care Partners, and indoor visitors.

Masks continue to be required indoors for staff, visitors, and others entering long-term care homes.

"The safety and wellbeing of our residents, families, and staff is our focus. Please continue to follow the 3Ws: Wash your hands frequently; Watch your distance (ideally 6 feet); and Wear masks correctly. Please do not visit the home if you are feeling unwell."
