Hanover hammer assault leaves victim with fractured skull

Hanover Police have arrested and charged an individual after a man was attacked by someone with a hammer.

Hanover Police Chief Christopher Knoll reported on Twitter Sunday morning that police were called to investigate a disturbance at a convenience store.

Police tweeted that the two people involved knew each other, and the victim ended up with a fractured skull.

Police charged a 28-year-old man of no fixed address with seven offences including Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Weapons Dangerous to Public Peace, and several counts of Breach of Probation.

The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police.
