Know someone selling a chainsaw? Perth County OPP are looking for tools stolen in a break-in

Police are investigating what happened to tools stolen during a break-in in North Perth.

Perth County OPP responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Line 87 on Wednesday. The victim told police sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. that day, someone broke into a workshop and stole a 2023 black Chevrolet Silverado and several power tools.

The truck was later found in Wingham but the tools are still missing. Police are looking for a Stihl chainsaw, and Dewalt impact drivers and drills.

Police are also reminding residents to keep vehicle doors locked and make sure your home and outbuildings are locked. Do not leave keys in the vehicles including ATVs and consider installing security features like lighting, cameras, and an alarm.
