UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal crash in Perth County

Police have released the identity of the victim of a recent fatal crash in Perth County.

Perth County OPP say in a release that they responded yesterday just after 12:30 p.m. alongside Perth County EMS to a serious motor vehicle collision on Line 29, at Road 111, in the Township of Perth East. A passenger vehicle and commercial motor vehicle had collided, causing the passenger vehicle to roll. The deceased has been identified as 74-year-old Joanne Bell of Vernon, British Columbia. The area surrounding Line 29 and Road 111 was closed for the protection of emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation, but has since reopened.

Police continue to investigate the crash. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
