An activist group is claiming responsibility, after dozens of SUVs had their tires deflated early Saturday morning.
According to Waterloo Regional Police, notes were left on the windshield that said “Your gas guzzler kills.”
Police received more than 30 reports of property damage in Glasgow Heights and Stanley Park, where objects were put into tire air valves to allow air to leak slowly out of the tires overnight.
The group called Tyre Extinguishers claimed they let air out of the tires of more than 60 SUVs.
Police said no damage was done to either the tires or vehicles.
