John Diefenbaker Senior School was put under 'hold and secure' Tuesday after a report of a student possibly in possession of a hand gun.
Hanover Police Service investigated the claim and within an hour after being notified, seized a pellet pistol.
A 14-year old youth faces a charge of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
Police do say at this point that while their investigation is ongoing early indications suggest the weapon was not fired at anyone and no one was threatened with it.
