Multiple weather warnings in Grey-Bruce

Environment Canada has declared a snow squall watch for Grey-Bruce alongside an extreme cold warning.

Grey county can expect to see the cold last until early Sunday morning.

Wind chill values in the area could fall between minus 25 and minus 30.

"Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter," the weather agency said in a statement.

It added to watch for cold related symptoms including:

• shortness of breath

• chest pain

• muscle pain and weakness

• numbness and colour change in fingers and toes

• frostbite

• hypothermia

Bruce county and Northern Grey county could also see up to 15 centimetres of snow accumulate over the weekend.

Snow squalls are expected to start after midnight and last through Sunday.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully during this time.

"Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow," Environment Canada warned.
