OPP investigating snowmobile crash

The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a snowmobile crash southwest of Wroxeter which resulted in serious injuries.

Huron County OPP, alongside fire and paramedic services, responded to the intersection of Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) Trail B108 and C Line Road at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

"The cause of the crash remains under investigation however alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in this collision," police said in a statement.

Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

No official OFSC trails are open yet this year and OPP warned that access to the area is prohibited and violators may be charged with trespassing.
