Agreement in place for sale of Wiarton Keppel International Airport

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has officially announced the sale of the Wiarton Keppel International Airport.

In a release, Georgian Bluffs council announced they have an agreement in place for the sale of the airport, which is scheduled to close on December 17th. Until that time, no more information regarding the sale or the purchasing party will be made available. The release states the airport will continue to operate as a certified airport throughout the sale process.

"Council acknowledges the value of this asset to the community and will prioritize release of information once the agreement is finalized. We appreciate the public's interest in this matter and their patience as Council moves through the sale process," says Georgian Bluffs Mayor, Dwight Burley.
