Huron County expected to receive vaccine report in early October

Huron County is in the process of preparing a policy regarding COVID vaccines as it pertains to staff.

CAO Meighan Wark says they've been watching closely and collecting as much information as possible for several months now, looking at the data as well as what's happening in other municipalities and other agencies in relation to vaccine policies.

A report is expected to be presented to county council at the beginning of October and Wark says it will contain all of the information staff have been able to collect up to that point.

“If there's one thing that we have learned over the course of the pandemic, is the landscape changes very quickly and we need to be able to pivot. So we continue to gather the information and monitor what other agencies are doing so they can make the best decision possible," said Wark.

Wark adds they're continuing to gather information and monitor what other agencies are doing so they can make the best decision possible for staff and for residents of Huron County.
