Wiarton Keppel airport declared surplus

The Town of Georgian Bluffs is declaring the Wiarton Keppel International Airport to be surplus and it's now up for sale.

The move was made at the September 13th meeting of council.

The public is invited to a meeting October 6th where a bylaw to authorize the sale will be presented and they can ask questions and submit written comments to council.

That meeting will also be livestreamed on the township's YouTube channel.

Offers to buy the property need to be submitted by October 14th. Anyone who wants more information can get a package by contacting the clerk.

The airport will continue to operate as the sale is processed.
