COVID tracking holding steady

COVID-19 cases continue to be recorded in the region.

Eleven new cases were reported in Grey and Bruce Sunday. There were five in Owen Sound; two in Brockton; one each in Hanover, Grey Highlands, South Bruce Peninsula, Arran-Elderslie. There are currently 44 active cases and 107 high risk contacts but only one of the active cases is a variant of concern.

Huron Perth Public Health and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health will release their latest COVID-19 data mid-morning on Monday. Heading into the weekend, there were just 14 active cases in Huron and Perth and nine active cases in Wellington county.

As for vaccinations, 74.4 percent have received at least one dose in Huron and Perth while 15.4 percent have been fully vaccinated. In Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph, the rates are 74.2 percent and 16.3 percent.
