Grey Bruce Health Unit reports five new COVID-19 cases

COVID case numbers are remaining steady in the Grey-Bruce region.

Saturday's report the local public health authority reported just five new cases. Two in West Gray, and one each in South Bruce, Saugeen Shores and Hanover.

This is the second consecutive day that the health unit has reported five cases.

It brings the region's total number of cases to 1393 throughout the pandemic. 41 of the cases are considered to be active, and only three involve variants of concern.

There have been 117,166 doses of COVID-19 vaccinations given in Grey-Bruce as of Friday.

Ontario wide, there were reported 530 new cases on Sunday, seven more deaths and 763 additional recoveries.

As of June 12th, the province had administered 11.2 million doses of the vaccine.
