Yard sale for Saugeen Hospice this weekend

There is a fundraising yard sale for the Saugeen Hospice this weekend.

Spokesperson Joe Rhys said they are trying to raise one million dollars for the hospice this year.

"We've been doing very well but we're not quite at the million dollar mark yet but we're getting there," said Rhys. "Of course these are very expensive...to be built so that's what we're doing. We're working very hard at it with a lot of people."

There is a wide range of items up for sale.

"Donations came from households primarily in and around the Walkerton area - Mildmay, Hanover - all through the area and several businesses made donations also," said Rhys.

The yard sale is at 21 Clairwood Drive on the west side of Walkerton. It started Thursday morning and continues through the weekend until next Wednesday. It's running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
