Huron OPP investigating theft of solar panels

Huron County OPP are investigating a recent theft of solar panels and solar power equipment near Wingham.

Police say they received a report from a victim that thieves had attended their seasonal property located on West Street in lower-town Wingham and had stolen about $1600 worth of solar panels, batteries and other solar power equipment.

The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between April 14th and May 12th, 2021.

The stolen items consisted of two solar panels (230 watts & 235 watts), two solar panel batteries, a MTTP solar charge controller and a 1000 watt pure sine power inverter.
