Minto reconsiders decision to sell roadside park

Minto council has decided to reconsider a decision from 2019 to sell the much-loved BeeHive roadside park located south of Harriston.

Council will give a local citizen's group until next September to come up with a business plan to keep the park open.

The park was closed after being the subject of abuse by travellers including the dumping of sewage on the open ground.

Only Mayor George Bridge and Councillor Ron Elliott voted against reconsidering the sale.
