Grey Bruce Health Unit reports second dose of vaccine being administered to priority groups

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reporting that all residents, staff, and essential caregivers who consented to being inoculated have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Some have received the second dose.

In a release, the health unit also says those who got their first dose in January have now received their second dose. Officials say they expect enough vaccine to administer second doses on schedule.

Officials call yesterday's announcement a "significant milestone in preventing transmission of the coronavirus where the risk of complications can be serious."

So far, 3759 doses of vaccine have been administered. You can see the progress of the vaccine rollout on the Grey Bruce Health Unit's webpage.
